The British Library 

The British Library’s Kickstart Your Business – Get Started is an ongoing programme aimed at scaling expert business support across London. Delivered through the BIPC Local network, it helps early-phase founders, particularly from underrepresented groups, by strengthening their knowledge, skills, and networks. Funded by JP Morgan, the programme supports 3,100 entrepreneurs, promoting sustainable business growth.

The Kickstart Your Business - Get Started Workshop is aimed at early-phase and pre-start-up entrepreneurs in London, with a focus on under-represented groups such as women, Black, Asian, and minority ethnic individuals, the unemployed, and those with disabilities. Participants must be located in London, and the program supports both aspiring entrepreneurs and existing micro-businesses. The goal is to increase business success and diversity, helping 3100 entrepreneurs over the course of the project.

The Kickstart Your Business - Get Started Workshop will be delivered in-person and online, offering interactive content to assist early-stage entrepreneurs in launching and growing their businesses. The programme will cover key topics, including business planning, financing, cash flow management, legal obligations, market research, and testing business idea viability. Participants will also receive one-on-one business advice and access to relevant resources such as live business intelligence databases. In addition, the programme will offer networking opportunities and guidance on developing a sustainable business plan. Throughout the duration, regular progress reviews will ensure that the objectives of supporting diverse, early-stage entrepreneurs are met, empowering them to succeed and contribute to the local and London economy.
